The following new features or enhancements have been added to the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.
App Marketplace Enhancements
New Extensions for Shipping
In the Shipping services, extensions were created for these features:
- Generation of shipping labels
- Tracking of shipments
Technical Upgrades
- All apps have been upgraded to Node.js 18.x or 20.x from their previous versions.
App Configuration Template
- The app configuration template for Payment apps has been simplified, and validations have been added. This would enable developers to provide the base URL to subscribe for all payment extensions.
AI First Platform
Auto Review Reject Based on Content in Ratings & Reviews
- Ability to auto-reject the question and answers if there is any abusive, sexual, offensive, or personally identifiable information (PII) content present in the question and answers.
- Ability to auto-reject the reviews if there is any abusive, sexual, offensive, or personally identifiable information (PII) content present in the reviews.
Promotion Proximity
- The Lambda function has been fine-tuned for proximity promotion.
- The store property EnablePromotionProximity has been added in the Advanced tab of a store with the value true to enable the Proximity promotion.
- An HTTP call with the store ID and product ID has been added which responds back with the proximity promotion.
Product Comparison in Foundation Admin Console
- Ability to view the product comparison based on the products added for comparison.
- The new store property productCompareAppURL in the Advanced tab should be configured with the value of the app URL.
- Based on the attributes which can be comparable, users can view the ‘Descriptive Comparison of Products’ section which would be generated by the Product Compare AI app.
New Apps
AI First Platform – Promotion Proximity App
- Ability to display the promotion recommendations based on the items available in the cart. For example, increase the quantity to 2 to get 20% off.
AI First Platform – Product Comparison App
- Ability to view the product comparison based on the products added for comparison. Based on the attributes that can be comparable, users can view the ‘Descriptive Comparison of Products’ section which the Product Compare AI app would generate.
Stripe Payment App – Apple Pay
- The Stripe Payment app now supports the Apply Pay wallet option. Using Apple Pay wallets, customers can place one-time or subscription orders.
Ship Engine App
- The Ship Engine App now has a new feature that allows shipping labels to be created for orders that are placed using the shipping options configured in the app.
- A new feature address validation has been added to the Ship Engine app.
Reference/Starter Apps
- A starter app for catalog integrations has been developed to transfer the product/SKU data available as bulk flat/feed files from the source system to the Infosys Equinox Catalog microservice.
- A starter app for price integrations has been developed to transfer the price data available as bulk flat/feed files from the source system to the Infosys Equinox Pricing microservice.
- A starter app is developed to synchronize the inventory data pushed from a source system to Infosys Equinox Inventory services.
Dashboard Reports
- The store property quicksightDashboardInfo has been newly added in the Advanced tab to show a new card “Analytics & Insights” on the Store Ops page and also on the left navigation panel to navigate to the Dashboard page to view the merchandising-catalog, inventory, order, and subscription reports.
Technology Maintenance & Upgrades
The following technology maintenance and upgrades have been performed as part of this release:
- Apache Camel has been downgraded from version 4.5.0 to 4.4.2 for LTS patch release.
- Support for AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol) has been enabled across all microservices and orchestration services. This can be used as an alternative to RabbitMQ.
- Secret key support has been added for the Redis username.
Open Source Security Vulnerabilities
The unique security vulnerabilities that have been patched in the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform via the Snyk tool are 3 vulnerabilities.
