This page gives an overview of the Order microservice, including core features, for the Infosys Equinox platform.

Overview

The Infosys Equinox Order microservice (“Order”) enables direct access to all orders across the channels in which your business operates, including web stores, mobile applications, through point of sale (POS), or Internet of things (IoT) devices. Order has functionality that allows the business to maintain and route orders, cancel, refund, appease or duplicate orders, generate reports (like sales overtime, fulfilment, sales by product, and basic order reports). All these functions are available to your business in the same place through Infosys Equinox’s customer service representative (CSR) friendly web-based console (“Console”).

As with all microservices in the Infosys Equinox solution, an Order collection is associated with a store managed by the Store microservice. Order allows the Store Manager to update the status of an order or of an item in order so that they are better managed. The Store Manager also has the option to update the notes for an order so that any additional information can be made available to the CSR or other agents who act on these orders. Some of the other activities pertaining to order such as order cancellations and returns are handled using the Order microservice. These actions are in turn tied with the Inventory and the Payment microservices, as required, wherein the amount paid is refunded on a returned order, authorization is canceled on a canceled order, etc.

  • When a customer returns the order partially or fully, the earned and redeemed loyalty points from the order is returned back for the returned items.
  • Ability to display earned loyalty points for the selected products while placing an order.
  • Ability to show the total reward points that the user has earned as part of the subscription order.
  • Ability to earn or redeem loyalty points by a CSR while placing or editing an order for a customer.
  • Quick Address System validation has been implemented in the subscription order to validate the shipping and billing addresses.
  • Ability to display a list of orders placed by a customer at the account level or customer level.
  • Ability to display the Account ID and Customer ID for the store type B2B2C or B2B. 
  • Ability to cancel any order that is in Open state (not processed/billed state).
  • Ability to generate product sales reports, orders fulfilled reports, basic order reports, and sales overtime reports for a specific period and time frame. (New!)
  • Ability to generate a graph based on various custom filters such as Average Order Price, Orders, Discounts, Gross Sales, Net Sales, Return, Shipping, Tax, Total Sales, and Additional Fees. (New!)
  • Ability to compare the generated data with a different date range. (New!)
