Managing Assets

The Assets Manager allows you to easily manage, organize, and store different types of digital assets (such as such as images, music files (MP3, WAV), videos, and/or documents) for the store so that you can reuse them later wherever required in building your e-commerce site.

In this section, you can:

  • view all asset folders
  • view assets in a folder
  • search for assets
  • create asset folders
  • upload assets to a folder
  • edit image in an asset folder
  • delete an image in the asset folder
  • download an image
  • print an image

View All Asset Folders

The All Assets page displays the list of asset folders. All Assets Folder_001

Note: You can expand and collapse the folders under All Assets folder using  the arrow icon.

View Assets in a Folder

You can search/filter and view the assets or open or collapse the folders to view the assets in the folder. You can view the assets in the List View or Grid View.

  • To view the assets uploaded to the folder, click on a folder.
  • To search for assets, use the search text box. For more information, refer to Working with Search.
  • To view the assets as a list, click List View.
  • To view the assets in a grid, click Grid View.
  • To view only images, select Images from the Filter drop-down list.
  • Similarly, you can filter only videos, or documents or music files from the Filter drop-down list.

Create Asset Folders

You can create and manage folders to upload assets.

To create a folder,

  1. In the All Assets page, click CREATE FOLDER. The Create Folder popup is displayed.
  2. Enter the Folder Name.
  3. Click CREATE. The folder is created.

Upload Assets to a Folder

You can upload assets to a selected folder.

To upload assets to a folder,

  1. In the Asset Manager page, select the folder to upload the image.
  2. Click From the Local or From the Web to select files to upload.
  3. Click Open. The file is uploaded.

Note: Alternatively, drag and drop images to the folder.

Edit Image in an Asset folder

You can edit the image in an asset folder.

To edit the image,

  1. In the All Assets page, click on the folder to view the images.
  2. Click on an image to view the image in a separate window.
  3. Click Edit. The Edit Image overlay is displayed.
  4. Edit the asset name and description.
  5. Click UPDATE. The image details are saved.

Delete an Image in the Asset folder

You can delete the image in an asset folder.

To delete the image,

  1. In the All Assets page, click on the folder to view the images.
  2. Click on an image to view the image in a separate window.
  3. Click Delete Image. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.
  4. Click Delete. The image is deleted.

Note:

  • To download an image, click Download.
  • To print an image, click Print.
  • To close the screen, click     the cross icon.
