Overview
This video shows how to configure the order extension store property to show tax-inclusive pricing in CSR Admin. When tax-inclusive pricing is on, the item subtotal includes tax rather than showing it separately, and a configurable message appears in the order summary. The video covers the two properties that control this, and how the result looks on the order and subscription screens.
CSR Admin – Tax Inclusive Pricing Configuration
Tax-inclusive pricing is managed through a property in the order extension, the ordersExtension store property. If the property is set to true, tax-inclusive pricing is used, and if it is set to false, tax-exclusive pricing is applied. In the example, a price of 100 that is tax inclusive at an 8% tax rate includes 7.41 in tax and has a base price of 92.59. A separate Tax Inclusive Message property sets a message that is displayed in the order summary on both the order and subscription screens, and the message that appears on the order screen is specified there.
CSR Admin – Order Screen
In the order details, the item subtotal is displayed with no additional shipping or product charges, and the item subtotal is tax inclusive. In the order summary, the included tax covers product tax, shipping tax, regional tax and category tax, and the configured message is displayed.
CSR Admin – Subscription Screen
On the subscription screen, the item subtotal in the item details is inclusive of the tax amount, with no separate taxation amounts. The order summary doesn’t show separate taxes, but it displays the configured tax-inclusive pricing message.
