Overview
This video shows how the Bynder digital asset management platform integrates with Merchandiser Admin to streamline digital asset management. Bynder helps organizations manage, organize and distribute their digital content, and with this integration Merchandiser Admin can sync rich media assets, including images, videos and documents, directly from Bynder. The video covers the benefits, how to enable the integration at store level, and how to select Bynder assets for a product or SKU.
Bynder – Benefits of the Integration
The integration speeds up time to market, keeps branding consistent, automates asset updates, synchronizes metadata and makes use of Bynder’s dynamic asset transformation capabilities.
Store Properties – Enabling the Integration
The integration can be enabled or disabled at store level through the productsExtension store property. To enable it, set enableUploadFromBynder to true. In imageUploadMethods, provide the values that appear as options in the Admin console when uploading assets, here “Select from Asset Manager” with the value dam and “Select from Bynder” with the value bynder. The store’s Bynder details go in the content node, which renders the Bynder Asset Manager as an iframe on the product details page.
Merchandiser Admin – Selecting Assets for a Product
Once the integration is enabled, a new dropdown appears under Image and Digital Assets in the Product Detail view, letting users choose how to upload assets. Choosing Select from Bynder opens a pop-up window showing all the assets available in Bynder. Users browse and select the assets to associate with a product or SKU. After confirmation, the chosen images or videos are linked to the product automatically.
