Ultra Admin Inventory

Overview

This video explores the Inventory Admin features built on the React Ultra Admin Console. Inventory Admin lets administrators add, update and monitor inventory stock by location or store, so businesses can track where their products are, manage quantities and keep stock levels accurate across locations. The video covers bins and the bins listing page, creating parent and child bins, adding SKU items, and recording transactions against a SKU.

Ultra Admin – Bins

The inventory is a collection of bins, and a parent bin can have multiple associated child bins. A bin represents a real-world storage location where SKU items are stored. When an order is placed, the available quantity is checked from the bin and the inventory is reduced accordingly. By default, the ATP (available to purchase) bin is the one accessed. Opening the Inventory section lands on the Bins listing page, where the ATP bin is listed by default and other bins can be added or updated. Bins can be expanded or collapsed all at once, or expanded one at a time to show their child bins, and they can be filtered by name, leaf bin status, channel, bin type or status. Columns can be added or removed with the column selection feature, and the other default data grid features are available. Selecting a bin shows its SKU list, which can be filtered or searched by name, SKU ID, quantity or status.

Ultra Admin – Creating Parent and Child Bins

To add a bin, open the Bins listing page from the Inventory menu or the breadcrumb, select Add New Bin and enter the details. The channel can be online or offline, the type can be primary or secondary, and the status can be active or inactive. To create a child bin under a parent bin, the leaf bin option must be selected. In the example, the parent bin is created first with the leaf bin toggle off. For the child bin, select the Leaf bin toggle, choose the parent bin from the dropdown and select Add, and the new bin appears below the selected parent.

Ultra Admin – Adding and Editing SKU Items

A newly created bin has no items, so the next step is to add SKU items. ATP quantity is the available to purchase quantity of the SKU item. Pre-order quantity is used when a product is yet to be launched and lets users pre-book the item, and it is optional. Back order quantity applies when an item is out of stock but users can still place orders with a future shipping date. Low stock threshold is the quantity at which the system generates a low stock warning, and it is optional. Out of stock threshold is the quantity at which the system shows an out of stock message, and it is optional and defaults to 0. Select Add to include the SKU in the list. Under the child bin, the Edit option updates the SKU: the low stock and out of stock thresholds and the status can be edited, and the remaining fields are locked.

Ultra Admin – Bin Item Transactions

Selecting the Add icon opens the bin item transaction table, which records all the transactions for the SKU item, and its columns can be selected or deselected. Add Transaction records a new one, and the transaction types are Add, Remove, Transfer and Reconcile. In the example, an Add transaction of another 1000 units is recorded, with other fields optional and notes if needed. The table then shows the transaction type, date, quantity and other fields, and the quantity on the SKU listing page updates accordingly. Items can also be removed from a bin by entering the quantity and details. A Transfer moves SKU items from one bin to another: select the Transfer type, enter the quantity, choose the source bin and add any notes. The source and destination bins are shown, and the SKU listing updates.
