Manage Shareable Links

Overview

Shareable links are used to create and manage links for demo purposes. You can,

  • Create and manage various shareable links that you can use for zone-based demo purposes.
  • Shareable links are applicable in the modelling and review stages of the project. Each stage can have its own set of a maximum of ten shareable links.

Creating a New Shareable Link

You can create a new shareable link for a project in the modelling and review stages.

To create a new shareable link,

  1. Log in to the Infosys Equinox Studio environment with the valid credentials provided to you.
  2. Click the EXPERIENCE button against the desired project.

    Note: You can use the dropdown list on the header to select the landing page.

    The project is opened:
  3. In the header, click the Modelling stage dropdown arrow and select Review stage if you need to switch to the review stage.
  4. In the header, click the icon.
  5. In the SHARE A LINK pop-up, under the CREATE A LINK, enter the fields.

    The following table describes the fields that are required for creating a new shareable link.

    Field Name Description
    Link Name (optional) Indicates the name of a shareable link. Enter alphanumeric characters to create the name.

    Note: If you DO NOT enter any name in this field, then the system generates a 6-digit (PNR-style) identity automatically after clicking on the Create Link button.

    Add a Password Indicates the password for the link.
    In the PASSWORD field, enter a password and click Generate.
    Note:

    • The password is displayed in a hidden format with different alphanumeric characters.
    • Enter a password of a maximum of 16 alphanumeric characters in length.
    • Disable the toggle if you want to create a link without a password.
    Add an expiration date Indicates the expiration date for the link.
    To add an expiration date,

    1. Enable the toggle to create the expiration date.
    2. In the Date, Time, and Time Zone fields, specify the values.
      • Date: Enter the date in the given DD/MM/YYYY format.
      • Time: Select the hours and minutes from the picker.
      • Time Zone: Select the required time zone. By default, the GMT time zone is selected.

    Note: The link expires on the mentioned expiration date and time, after which the link is not usable.

  6. Click Save.
    A new link is created.

    Note: Click the Close button to stop creating the link.

Managing an Existing Shareable Link

You can create a new shareable link for a project in the modeling and review stages. You can create a maximum of 10 links.

To manage an existing shareable link,

  1. Log in to the Infosys Equinox Studio environment with the valid credentials provided to you.
  2. Click the EXPERIENCE button against the desired project.

    Note: You can use the dropdown list on the header to select the landing page.

    The project is opened:
  3. In the header, perform any one of the following:
    • Click .
    • Click the Preview dropdown arrow and select Manage sharable links.

      Note: This option is available only in the modelling stage.
  4. In the SHARE A LINK pop-up, under the MANAGE LINKS tab, you can view various fields.

    The following table describes the fields that are required for updating an existing shareable link.

    Field Name Description
    SHARE LINKS Displays the link name, link, and the creation date of the link.
    STATUS Indicates the status of the shareable link.

    Note:

    • The status displays the Lock icon. If the link is revoked, it indicates that the link is of no use now.
    • The status displays an active icon in green if the link is reactivated.
    PASSWORD Indicates the password for the link. The Lock icon indicates the link is password protected.

    To copy the password, hover over the Lock icon and click on COPY PASSWORD.

    Note: If the link is not password protected, then the column remains blank without any icons/buttons.

    EXPIRY DATE Indicates the expiration date for the link. The expiry date is displayed if the link is set with an expiry date.

    Note: The link expires on the mentioned expiration date and cannot be used further.

    VIEWS Displays the count of the views, which is the number of users hitting the link per session.
    COPY LINK Allows you to copy the link.
     icon Allows you to update the link.
    Note: For detailed information, refer to the steps mentioned in the below table.

    Note: Once every two hours, the session of the link expires, and you need to provide the password to restart the session if it is password protected. If not, you need to refresh the link.

  5. Click the icon and perform the required action.
    The following table describes the fields that are required for updating an existing shareable link.

    Field Name Description
    Add Password
    To add a new password,

    1. Click this option to add a new password.
    2. In the CHANGE PASSWORD page, update the password.
      Note: Click the GENERATE button to display the auto-generated password.
    3. Click Save.
    Change Password
    To update the existing password,

    1. Click this option to update the existing password.
    2. In the CHANGE PASSWORD page, update the password.
      Note: Click the GENERATE button to display the auto-generated password.
    3. Click Save.
    Remove Password
    To remove the password, click this option.
    Edit Expiration

    To edit the expiration date,

    1. Click this option to update the expiry date.
    2. In the EDIT EXPIRATION DATE page, update the expiration date details.
    3. Click Save.
    Revoke
    To change the link to Inactive, click this option.
    Note: The status icon changes to grey color, which indicates the Inactive status.
    Re-activate
    To activate the link, click this option.
    Note: The status icon changes to green color, which indicates the Active status.
    Delete
    To delete the link from the shareable link view, click this option.
