Publish and Preview a Project

Overview

Infosys Equinox Studio builds and links the live and demo environments automatically for every project you create.

Publish option uploads and publishes the project data to the demo and live sites. The preview option enables you to view a project’s data on the demo and live sites. You can preview only the published projects. You can publish and preview a project from both the modelling and review stages.

Publishing and Previewing a Project from Modelling Stage

You can preview a project from the modelling stage only after you publish that project. You can preview a project from a Server Side Rendering (SSR) and Client Server Rendering (CSR).

The preview in the SSR option redirects to a “demo” site for the Server Side Rendering (SSR), whereas the preview in Client Server Rendering (CSR) option redirects to a “live demo” site. You can use CSR preview to give project demos to the clients on a live site. Minimum one shareable link is mandatory to enable the preview link. Refer to Manage Shareable Links.

To publish and preview a project from the modelling stage,

  1. Log in to the Infosys Equinox Studio environment with valid credentials provided to you.
  2. Click the EXPERIENCE button of the desired project.

    Note: You can use the dropdown list on the header to select the landing page.

    The project is opened:
  3. Click the Publish dropdown arrow and select Publish.

    The project data is published to the demo and live site.
  4. Click the Preview dropdown and select any one of the following options:
    • Preview in SSR – to preview the demo site from a server.
      The preview page appears in a separate tab.

      Note:

      • Preview page URL for a SSR contains the path value as “demo” and “Modelling” while previewing from the Modelling stage.
      • It is mandatory to publish the project. Only then the data from the project is uploaded to the preview site; otherwise, an error or data not found page appears.
    • Preview in CSR – to preview the demo live site from a client-server.

      The preview page appears in a separate tab.

      Note:

      • Preview page URL for a CSR contains the path value as “livespacedemo” and “Modelling” while previewing from the Modelling stage.
      • The preview of the project data appears only after you publish the content.

Publishing and Previewing a Project from Review Stage

You can publish and preview a project from the review stage only after the project is promoted for review from the modelling stage. Minimum one shareable link is mandatory to enable the preview link. Refer to Manage Shareable Links.

Prerequisite

Ensure that the project is published to review from the modelling stage to view the project in the review stage.

To publish and preview a project from the review stage,

  1. Log in to the Infosys Equinox Studio environment with valid credentials provided to you.
  2. Click the EXPERIENCE button of the desired project.
    Note: You can use the dropdown list on the header to select the landing page.

    The project is opened.
  3. In the header, click the Modelling stage dropdown arrow and select Review stage
  4. Click the Publish to Live button.

    The project’s data is uploaded to the live site.
    Note: The project’s data cannot be uploaded to the live site until it has been published to live.
  5. Click the Preview button to preview the project.

    The preview page appears in a separate tab.

    Note:

    • The preview page URL contains the path value “demo” and “review” while previewing from the Review stage.
    • It is mandatory to publish the project. Only then the data from the project is uploaded to the preview site; otherwise, an error or data not found page appears.
  6. Click the Live button to publish the project to the live site.

    The preview page appears in a separate tab.

Note: An error or data not found page appears if you do not publish the project to live before clicking on the Live option.
