Introduction

About this Document

This document explains the steps to integrate Infosys Equinox Commerce platform with Facebook Commerce Manager.

Intended Audience

The intended audience for this document is business admin or technical team who wants to integrate Infosys Equinox Commerce platform with Facebook Commerce Manager.

Overview

This functional document is applicable for the Business Admins of Infosys Equinox Commerce platform who wants to synchronize,

  • the catalog data (products and SKUs (Stock Keeping Unit)) and pricing data (prices of the SKU) from Infosys Equinox Commerce platform with Facebook Commerce Manager
  • the product price list and types in the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.
  • Inventory from Infosys Equinox Commerce platform with Facebook Commerce Manager.
  • the orders created in Facebook Commerce Manager with Infosys Equinox Commerce platform and update the order status in Facebook Commerce Manager.

Prerequisites

You need to adhere to the following prerequisites:

  • You need to set up a valid business and store in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.
  • Create/import all the products & SKUs in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform via catalog microservice.
  • Create price list, price types & update the Prices of the SKU via Pricing microservice.
  • Add Inventory quantity for items via Inventory microservice.
  • You should have a Facebook Commerce Manger account.
  • Ensure that you set up the Facebook shop in the Facebook Commerce Manger settings page.
    Note: Facebook Commerce Manager is available only for the US region.
  • In the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform store, Facebook full feeds and delta feeds must be triggered successfully to push the product catalog to Facebook Commerce Manager. Refer to Creating the Feed & Feed job via API Endpoints in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform.

In Scope

  • Only Products and SKUs are part of the Facebook Commerce Manager catalog export.
  • Only single user will be able to trigger AWS glue jobs.

Known Callouts/Out of Scope:

  • Different product types like (Bundle, Fixed Bundle, Collections, or SKU Kit) are out of Scope.
  • Multiple users will not be able to trigger AWS glue jobs in parallel.
  • Payment setup and processing for the orders checked out via Facebook Shop must be done only in Facebook commerce Manager.
  • The payment details & customer details of the orders have not been passed to Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.
  • Order cancellation for Facebook orders must be done only via Commerce Manager and cannot be done via Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.
  • Order Refund for Facebook orders must be done only via Commerce Manager and cannot be done via Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.
  • New order creation as ’Cancelled’ with partial quantity and new order creation as ’Shipped/ Partially Shipped is not supported.
  • New Order creation for Multiple items in an order with different status is not handled.
  • During new order creation, if there are issues related to product/SKU details or price mismatch, then order the are created in Deleted status.

Setting Up Facebook Store in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

This section explains how to set up the store in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform for integrating the Facebook Commerce Manager with Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.

The sequence of setting up the store is as follows:

  1. Create a new business and enable the required microservices for the business.
    Note: You can either create a new business or update the existing business.
  2. Create a Facebook store within the required business.
    1. Configure the collection properties for the Facebook Commerce Manager integration.
      Note: You can either create a new collection or configure the existing collection.
    2. Associate the configured collection within the Facebook store against the respective services.
    3. Configure the store specific properties for the Facebook Commerce Manager integration.

To set up the Facebook store,

  1. Log in to the Foundation server for your business (URL provided by Infosys Equinox Commerce platform). 
  2. Click Add a Business.
  3. In the Create Business page, enter the required details and click Create. For detailed information, refer to the Creating a Business section in the Foundation Admin User Guide.
  4. Click the Available Microservices tab and enable all the microservices (or) required microservices for the business and click Save. For detailed information, refer to the Enabling or Disabling Microservices section in the Foundation Admin User Guide.
  5. Navigate to the Stores tab and click Add a Store.
  6. In the Create Store page, enter the required details, and click Create. For detailed information, refer to the Creating a Store section in the Foundation Admin User Guide.
  7. Navigate to the Microservices tab, click the icon against the required microservices.
  8. In the Collection page, configure the Collection Properties, and click Create.
  9. While creating the order collection, ensure that you perform the following:
    • In the defaultBPM property,select MarketplaceSubmitOrderBpm.xml.
    • Update the ’orderCategorizationTabs’ property and add these values to the Total Orders filter: External_Cancel|Unable_to_Ship|External_Refunded.
  10. Click the Service Association tab, associate collection for the microservices, and click Save. For detailed information, refer to the Associating Microservice Collections with a Store section in the Foundation Admin User Guide.
  11. Click the Advanced tab and perform the following:
    • Click Add Properties and add the property key as “socialCommerce” and property value as “facebook”. For detailed information, refer to the Adding Store Specific Properties section in the Foundation Admin User Guide. 
    • Add another property as ‘siteURL’ :

      Business must mention their domain name or site URL in the property value.

Catalog Management

As part of catalog management, you need to:

Importing the Catalog Data into Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

You can import attributes in the tab and import all products and SKUs into the master catalog.

Importing Catalog Attributes

This section explains how to import the catalog attributes data sheet in the Infosys Equinox platform.

To import catalog attributes,

  1. In the Catalog Admin Console, in the Attributes tab, click the IMPORT tab,
  2. Click the Add File button and upload the catalog data sheet.
  3. After a successful upload, click the Start Import button to import the model details.
  4. In the Import Document section, you can view the summary of the imported data.

    Note: After a successful import, you can view the import summary and history the details of import.
    The successfully imported attributes are listed on the attributes listing page.

Note:

  • For detailed information, refer to the Import Tab section in Catalog Admin User Guide.
  • It is mandatory to create/import all attributes before importing the products and SKUs into the master catalog, only then you will be able to map the attribute with the products and/SKUs. For catalog attributes (Marketplace Export Facebook) specific to Infosys Equinox Commerce platform and Facebook Commerce Manager mapping, refer to the Catalog attributes (Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform – Facebook Commerce Manager mapping) section.

Importing Products and SKUs

This section explains how to import catalog products and SKUs data in the Infosys Equinox platform.

To import Products and SKUs,

  1. In the Catalog Admin Console, in the All Catalogs page, click the master catalog row.
  2. In the All Catalogs page, click the master catalog row.
  3. Click the Add File button and upload the project import sheet.
  4. After a successful upload, click the Start Import button to import the model details.
  5. After a successful import, you can view, the import summary and import history details.

Note: For detailed information, refer to the Importing Products and SKUs section in Catalog Admin User Guide.

Pricing Management

This section explains how to set up a different price in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform for the products in Facebook Commerce Manager.

As part of pricing management, you need to:

Adding a Price Type in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

To add/update the price type,

  1. In the Pricing Admin Console, click Price Types in the left navigation panel.
  2. Click the Add Price Type button.
  3. In the Price Type Name pop-up, enter the name as ‘Facebook Price’ in the Price Type Name field.
  4. Click the Save button.
    Note: For detailed information, refer to the Managing Price Types section in the Pricing Admin User Guide.

Creating a Price List in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

To create a price list,

  1. In the Pricing Admin Console, navigate to the All Pricelists page.
  2. Click the Create Pricelist button.
  3. In the Create Pricelist form, add Facebook Price as the price type.

Importing the Pricing Data Sheet in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

To import the pricing data sheet,

  1. In the Pricing Admin Console, click the Import tab in the left navigation panel.
  2. Click the Add File button and upload the pricing data sheet.

  3. After a successful upload, click the Start Import button to import the price details.
    Note: The datasheet must have the “price” sheet with prices updated for the SKUs
  4. After a successful import, you can view the import summary and history the details of import.

Inventory Management

As part of Inventory Management, you need to update the Inventory in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform API Endpoints

Updating the Inventory in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform API Endpoints

This section explains how to update the Inventory in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform API endpoints for Facebook Commerce Manager.

For detailed information refer to the API endpoints Swagger UI (skavacommerce.com)

To update the Inventory, you need to,

Creating a Bin Feed Job for Inventory Bin Import.

To create a bin feed job for Inventory bin import,

  1. Navigate to the Feed Job service API endpoints and create a feed Job ID using POST feed ID in the createFeedJob API.

Creating a Bin Feed Job for Inventory Bin Item Import.

To create a bin feed job for Inventory bin item import,

  1. Navigate to the feed service swagger and create a feed Id using POST feed id the createFeedJob API.

Exporting Catalog Data via AWS Glue Job The purpose of the AWS Glue Job is to extract the catalog (product/SKU’s) and its corresponding price details, inventory details from the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform and generate a feed file which can be pushed to other channels or marketplaces such as Facebook.

This section explains how to export the Marketplace Catalog Data via API endpoints (Swagger UI (skavacommerce.com)).

Feed Management

The Infosys Equinox Commerce platform uses the AWS Glue Job to extract the catalog data (products and SKUs) and its corresponding price and Inventory data and generates a feed file which can be pushed to other channels or marketplaces.

As part of Feed Management, you can manage the API Endpoints for Feed and Feed Job,

Creating the Feed & Feed job via API Endpoints in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

You can create the feed and feed jobs across business and stores and insert via DML.

  • Feed Id: marketplaceexport_glue,
  • Job Id: marketplaceexport_glue_full, marketplaceexport_glue_delta

The details of the payload (Full & Delta) are:

  • Create a feed Id using POST feed id API
  • Create a feed job using POST feed job API
  • Schedule – On Demand

To export catalog data via AWS Glue Job, you need to create Feed and Feed Job in the createFeed and createFeedJob APIs,

  1. Go to feed services swagger.
  2. Create a feed Id using POST feed id API createFeed

  4. Trigger ‘Ondemand’ Job based on ‘Specific Feed Params’ for respective scenario. <createSchedule>The Infosys Equinox Commerce platform runs the scheduled feed as mentioned in this table:

    Full Feed delta=0 You run this when you want to index the entire data (catalog, pricing, and Inventory) available in the respective collections associated with the store. The parameter value “0”, which indicates the full feed is scheduled.
    Delta Feed delta=1 You run this when you want to index only the specific changes made in the catalog, pricing, and Inventory data available in the respective collections associated with the store. The parameter value “1”, which indicates the delta feed is scheduled.

Importing Catalog Feed Data into Facebook Commerce Manager

This section explains how to import schedule catalog feed data into Facebook Commerce Manager.

To schedule Catalog Feed import into Facebook Commerce Manager,

  1. Log in to Facebook Commerce Manager.
  2. In the Commerce Manager page, click the “Data sources” tab, and then click “Data Feed”.
  3. In the Data Feed page, select “Yes” and click “Next.”
  4. In the Choose how to upload your file page, select “Use a URL” option and enter the feed URL.
    Note: You can obtain the feed file CloudFront URL from the marketplaceexport_glue job summary from Infosys Equinox Feed Admin console or via Swagger (Swagger UI (skavacommerce.com)).
  5. Set up the schedule for fetching the data from the feed file at regular intervals.
  6. Post setting up the feed , the user can see the feed details in the Data sources screen.

    Note: The user can set up two schedules in Facebook Commerce Manager.
  7. Update Schedule (Feed file of marketplace_glue_full )
  8. Replace Schedule (Feed file of marketplace_glue_delta)

Viewing the Exported Catalog Feed Summary in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

To view the exported catalog feed summary in the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform Feed Admin console,

  1. In the Feed Admin console, navigate to the Batch jobs page and select the required feed.
  2. Click the Job Id and navigate to the History details page. For detailed information, refer to the View the Run Details of a Feed Job section.

    Note: In the Feed Admin, you can view the,

    • Summary for FULL feed
    • Summary for DELTA feed
    • You can click on the “Feed Link” icon to copy the “Feed URL” and upload it into Facebook Commerce Manager.

Order Management

As part of order management, you need to

Exporting Orders from Facebook Commerce Manager

This section explains how to export orders from Facebook Commerce Manager.

  • When the customer or an end user purchases the product through Facebook Shop, the orders are placed in the Facebook Commerce manager.
  • Any orders that are newly created are marked as “Waiting to Ship” status in Commerce Manager.

Downloading Bulk Order Report from Facebook Commerce Manager

You can download the bulk order report from the Facebook Commerce Manager.

To download the bulk order report,

  1. Navigate to the Orders tab in the Commerce Manager and click “Manage orders in bulk”
  2. In the Export CSV file pop-up window, select the order type and click Export File.
  3. Download the generated bulk order report.

Download Order History Report from the Facebook Commerce Manager

You can download the order history report from the Facebook Commerce Manager.

To download the order history report,

  1. Navigate to the Orders tab in the Commerce Manager and click “Download order history.”
  2. In the Create report page, select the order status, and click Create.
  3. Download the generated order history report.

Merging the Order Reports

  • You need to merge Order History and Bulk Order report and create a single report for importing into Infosys Equinox Order Admin console.
    Note: It is mandatory to add the product ID and channel attributes to the history report for each order.
  • The macro FBOrderImportUtil.xlsm can be used to generate the order import report.
    Note: The Order Action Report used in the macro is the bulk order report that is downloaded from Facebook Commerce Manager.  https://duseqpxtuo98y.cloudfront.net/storefront-orchestration8140/FBOrderImportUtil.csv 

Importing Facebook Commerce Manager Orders into Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

  • In Infosys Equinox Commerce platform, you can import orders from the Facebook Commerce Manager via the sys Equinox Order Admin console.
  • You can import single or multiple items from a Facebook order into Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.

For details on the Facebook order status mapping, refer to the Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform – Facebook Order Status Mapping section.

To import Facebook order data on to the Infosys Equinox Order microservice,

  1. In the Orders Admin Console, click the ORDER IMPORTS tab in the All Orders section.
  2. Click the Add File and upload the Facebook orders sheet.
  3. Once the upload is successful, click Import.
  4. The file is uploaded to the Order Admin console.
    After successful import, you view the summary details.

Note:

  • For detailed information, refer to the Bulk Import Order Details section in the Order Admin User Guide.
  • Post the completion of the upload, you can view the status of the upload in the Import History section page of the Infosys Equinox Order microservice.
  • You can view all the successfully imported orders in the Infosys Equinox Order microservice.

For each upload, in the Import History section provides these details:

  • Imported File
  • Timestamp (UTC)
  • Admin username
  • Status
  • Link to the import summary

The status of the import can be,

  • Success (Import has been successful)
  • Error (Upload has been completed partial with some errors)

Exporting Facebook Orders from Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

To export Facebook orders from Infosys Equinox Commerce platform,

  1. In the Total Order page, apply filter by channel and enter “Facebook” to filter the Facebook orders.
  2. Post filtering the records, click the Export button in the Order Admin to generate the Facebook specific order export file.
  3. Download the order export file in a .csv format file.
    Note: For detailed information, refer to the Exporting All Orders section in the Order Admin User Guide.

Importing Orders into Facebook Commerce Manager

To import orders into Facebook Commerce Manager Import file page,

  1. In the Facebook Commerce Manager page, navigate to the Import file page, and click Download against the required order.
    Note: You need to manual import the order file from the Facebook Commerce Manager as seen in the screen below:
  2. The order status from the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform is now available in the Facebook Shop and hence the Facebook Shop reflects the status for the customer to track.

Viewing the Order Details

You can,

Viewing Orders in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

New Order creation: Once an admin processes an Import order, the new order will be created in the Equinox platform.

To view the newly created orders, navigate to the “TOTAL ORDERS” tab in the Order Admin console. For detailed information, refer to the Total Orders section in the Order Admin User Guide.

Note: The imported Facebook orders in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform will have two new additional attributes “Affiliated ID” and “Channel” as seen in the screenshot below:

  • Affiliated ID – This is Facebook Order ID.
  • Channel – This is to distinguish from which marketplace order is placed, for example: Facebook.

Viewing the Order Details Overview in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

To view an overview of the entire order details, you need to click the required order in the Total Orders tab in the Order Admin console. For detailed information, refer to the Total Orders section in the Order Admin User Guide.

  • The order overview displays these details:
    • Order #: Infosys Equinox Order no
    • Order Placed: Infosys Equinox order created timestamp.
    • Order status: New Facebook order created in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform will be updated with Submitted_to_Fulfilment status.
    • Shipping Method
    • Affiliated Id: Facebook Order ID
    • Channel: To distinguish from which Marketplace order is placed, for example: Facebook
    • Order Summary: The total order value.
    • Username: The username shown will be the admin username & not the customer details. (Facebook has restriction and hence the customer details cannot be passed to Infosys Equinox Commerce platform from Facebook)
    • User ID: username-Facebook@ do-not-reply.com
    • Shipping address: (Shipping address provided by the customer for this order)
    • Shipping method and charges.

Note: Payment’s section will be blank, as the payment information of the order is not passed from Facebook Commerce Manager to Infosys Equinox Commerce platform as Facebook commerce Manager restricts it.

  • The Products section of the order overview page displays the order items.

 

Viewing the Order Import Summary Details in Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform

Infosys Equinox’s order import contains the summary details, which provides the total count on each of the following statuses once the import is completed:

  • Success: Order record processed.
  • Warning: Order not processed as already in synchronization.
  • Failed: Order Import failed due to technical issues.
  • Error: Incorrect order data in import file

To view the summary of the order import in the Feed Admin console, you need to navigate to the summary section of the Import tab in the Order Admin console. For detailed information, refer to the Bulk Import Order Details section in Order Admin Guide.

Viewing the Order Fulfillment via Facebook Commerce Manager

  • In Infosys Equinox Commerce platform, you can generate the Facebook orders in fulfilled (Shipped) and not fulfilled (unable to ship) statuses.
  • Infosys Equinox Commerce platform allows partial qty shipment for Facebook orders.
    Note: Cancellation and Refund of Orders can be done only via Facebook Commerce Manager. It cannot be done via the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform. For detailed information on cancellation and refund of orders, refer to Log in to Facebook

Infosys Equinox Commerce Platform – Facebook Commerce Manager Order Status Mapping

The order statuses vary between the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform and the Facebook Commerce Manager, the below tables explain the order status mapping:

New Order Creation

This table explains the Facebook Commerce Manager order status mapping with the Infosys Equinox Commerce platform order status while creating an order in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform.

Viewing the Exported Order Summary in Infosys Equinox Feed Admin

To view the exported order summary in Infosys Equinox Commerce platform Feed admin.

  1. In the Feed Admin console, navigate to the Batch jobs page and select the feed “marketplace_exportorder.
  2. Click the Job Id as highlighted in the below screenshot to view the summary.

    The additional details section displays the summary.
