TERM DEFINITION
Bin A bin is the container of the products (SKUs) and is always mapped to a collection. It is identified using the bin ID (system generated).
Bin Item The contents (primarily the SKUs) of a bin are referred to as bin items.
ATP Quantity  The quantity of a product actually available in a bin is called the Available to Promise (ATP) quantity.
Back-Ordered Quantity The quantity of a product that the store had ordered and would be received in the bin in future via different consignments is called the back-ordered quantity.
Leaf Bin A leaf bin is an innermost bin when you have bins within a bin. Only the leaf bin can hold bin items. For example, let’s consider a bin A. Now, the bin A could have A1 and A2 as the child bins. Let’s say bin A2 has another child bin A2X. In this example, A1 and A2X are the leaf bins and can hold bin items. The other bins cannot hold bin items.
IN STOCK The status IN STOCK is displayed when the ATP quantity is greater than the low stock threshold defined for the bin item.
OUT OF STOCK The status OUT OF STOCK is displayed when the ATP quantity is less than or equal to the out of stock threshold defined for the bin item.
LOW STOCK The status LOW STOCK is displayed when the ATP quantity is less than or equal to the low stock threshold and greater than the out of stock threshold defined for the bin item.
BACK ORDERED The status BACK ORDERED is displayed when the ATP quantity is zero and the back-ordered quantity is greater than zero for the bin item.
